I am: an architect licensed in the State of Pennsylvania (new residential, additions and renovations in all styles, restorations, space planning, interiors consulting, DIY project help, owners' rep for construction projects)
My house: small and manageable, open floor plan on the first floor, a work in progress, walkable town with sidewalks and a great cafe, but close to my favorite big box store (target) and not too far from the city (philly) where I can get my favorite home accessories.
Last thing I bought: a king size Sleep Number mattress and metal platform bed.
I like: modern, some country mixed in, a couple of mid-century modern pieces, definitely clean lines whether it be metal or wood, well-designed graphic prints, mostly muted, but varied color palettes, with splashes of bold or bright color thrown in and organization.
I love: (my husband, of course) thomas o'brien, kelly hoppen, david salmela, miller + hull, bohlin cywinski jackson, josef albers, john hejduk, sarah susanka, the not so big house, marimekko, pre-fab, leed, flipping houses, investing in real estate, helping people be happy with their homes...
I dislike: toll brothers and design snobs.
