Color advice

By wordswinker

I just moved into a non-descript little apartment in a jewel of a small town. My new furniture was rescued mainly from Craigslist, but a lot of my stuff has been collected over years and some wise inheriting. I want to paint the backsplash and space above the kitchen cabinets and an accent wall above my couch.

Any advice? The kitchen/dining/living room are in an L, so my immediate thought was to repeat the sofa's color in the kitchen. Then again, I have a nice collection of dusty green art pottery I could pick up on. The trouble is those colors tend to read gray, not green, at least on a paint chip.

Any advice? No guts, no glory, but I really don't want to paint twice.

Thanx!

Thanks, Lydia. I was tending in that direction, so it's nice to have your confirmation and encouragement!

I painted mine a sage green (I'll try to find the name & brand) and it is everyone's favorite color in the house. It looks different at different times of day and men and women rave equally.
